Which is correct: “lead and co-lead” or “co-lead and co-lead”? the latter is more intuitively correct to me, but I seem to be losing the battle in the office.

I would use only one “co-lead” because the word itself implies more than one person. Such a sentence might look like this: John and Alice will co-lead (or co-chair or co-collaborate)the fundraising effort.
