    • I have a co-worker at an elementary school who often speaks on the intercom, she uses the phrases “on tomorrow,” on yesterday,” & “on today.” This is the first I have ever heard this phrase used but it just does not sound correct to me. I was looking for an expert opinion because if she is incorrectly using the words, I would like to bring it to her attention so the students in the school do not get in the habit of saying it. She is originally from North Carolina and now we are in Southern Virginia so it may just be regional.

Hi Anne, I am editing some PowerPoint slides for a friend. He has written the following: 1. Objective of the presentation. 2. Basic principles. 3. Developing the programme. 4. Working with the company. 5. Questions. Should there be periods after each point? I cannot seem to find the answer. Can you recommend a good book/website? Thank you! Helle

There should not be a period after each point, because these are really titles. As for recommending a good book or web site, I suggest you Google the item you are interested in and then review the web sites that come up.
