Odds, Ends

For the fun of it, I’m offering my opinion on some current issues. In fact, I’ve divided my comments into three categories: over the top, just right, and don’t bother – with an extra tip for coping along the way.

New Orleans

I understand there is a discussion raging about whether to rebuild New Orleans on its current site, which is considerably below sea level, or whether to rebuild at another location, presumably more favorable to hurricanes.

Survivor

I’m still mesmerized by the film footage from New Orleans and points east. It’s water with rooftops dotting it. Water with people slogging through it, knee deep. Water with debris of all kinds floating by.

Indian No Place

Details

I’ve heard or read that the devil is in the details. I’ve also heard that God resides there too. I guess a project I’m currently involved in will reveal the truth.

That project is a total remodeling of the two

John Roberts

It’s out in the open. President George Bush’s nominee for the upcoming vacancy on the Supreme Court is Judge John Roberts. I must admit that I wish he had chosen a female, even though I’ve been told that Bush considered
