It depends on if you are a purist or not. Purists would say ‘No’ while more contemporary souls would say ‘Yes.” I think the more important issue is that you argue for consistency. You can’t be a traditionalist on one point and a contemporary thinker on the other. So decide which you are, and then go into the woods.
