?`s and ANNEswers

What is third person omni narrative and how can it be intrusive to the reader? I guess I do not fully understand first person, third person etc.

Let’s take your second item first. In English, the same information can be presented in your writing from three different points of view called first person, second person, or third person. The author determines which will move the sentence or article or story along best according to what he or she wants to achieve. First person narratives are identified by such words as I, we, me, mine. Second person narratives are identified by such words as you, yours. And third person is identified by such words as he, she, it, they, and them. The third person omniscient narrative provides information the reader needs to know to understand the story, but it can become very tedious if overused. In essence, it boils down to the adage of “Show me, don’t tell me.”
