You are absolutely correct, and here is why. There is a missing, yet understood, word in the sentence; and that word is “know.” The real meaning of the sentence is “You would know better than I know.” If we insert the second “know” it’s immediately clear that I is the right choice as the subject of “know.” We would not say, “You would know better than me know.”
